We did a show at the Prescott Tavern at Hampshire college last night. This is the first time we have been back since our fabled Halloween set 2 years ago. The "Tavern" was an interesting place. Basicly an almost condemed old school snack shop place that hasn't been functioning in a year or two. Alot of people showed up and that was pretty cool. We finally got to play with one of Shawn Fogel's bands, Billy Ripkin Fuck Face Card. We've known Shawn for a few years and he has thrown us some pretty cool shows (including our fabled Halloween set). We have always discussed a Ripkin/Heston show and it was nice to finally do one.
Our set highlight was probable the noise part that happened at the end of our set after the new song "Revolutionary Hamburger". The noise was really awesome, prob our best noise part to date (at the least since our cover of "Into the Groove" at the Madonna show). We talked about doing it before the set but I think it turned out alot better than our original plan. During Hamburger I bashed my knuckles open on the rim of the snare drum. I ended the set by bleeding all over the kit.
We have a show Thursday and then we won't be playing live for a month or two as we start work on our second album.
