We played a last minute uber short set the other night at Hawks Nest at University of Hartford. Our new super best friends Porto were nice enough to have us out. These guys and girl are really cool and I suggest everyone go check thier band out. We met them last month at our fabled Brooklyn show. They have been really nice to us and it was a treat to get to check out thier set last Friday.
Jury is still out on why our set got cut short. I think it was partially because the first band and our setup ate up the time. I think it was also partially due to the fact the sound guy was a dick. Not sure which one it was though (prob a combo of the two). Getting cut short wasn't all that bad though since Chad's guitar fell completly apart again. Can't wait until we can smash that piece of shit. Anyway, it was an ok night.
Overall we have yet to have a decent set at a college. Besides the whole money booty offers that college often provide (which for the record we were not apart of this night) they kind of suck. We usually think everyone is going to be real hip and cool but they are usually just annoying jackass all hop'd up on thier parents money. Oh well.
