Halloween was a pretty crazy night. This night the Heston posse was 3 times bigger than what we are used to. We caravanned up in 4 cars and had more people showing up later, quite bizarre since we are normally used to just having the 3 of us plus lady friends.
Hampshire College did a nice job of taking care of us. We were treated to a pretty swank hospitality room nicely stocked with sandwiches, cookies, warm water, warm soda, warm Pabst Blue Ribbon and pizza. Like usual, we were there a good couple of hours prior to the time we needed to be, so we had first pickings. After eating we proceeded to scope out pieces of school property in which we could steal. I suggested we disassemble the gigantic table in the room and try to sneak out with it but this idea was panned.
After hanging out in the hospitality room we headed down to check out the Halloweird tent. The stage was super small, which made setup a little tricky. We were able to get all of our gear up there but there wasn’t much room to move around.
I thought everybody was great this night but overall the tent was sparsely attended. Hamsteak, DJ Real, and Corn Mo all put in great sets. Our set started out strong, but we started bumping into each other and made a few mistakes. The highlight of our set would have to be a toss up between Other Adam’s great sax work on Soda Pretzel or having Corn Mo on stage with us for the noise choir parts.
