2003-10-04 - 8:28 p.m. Sup We went up to Keene NH today to vocal overdubs with Amy Heston. At first I was expecting that we would be doing another day in the bathtub but she was able to jack the Keene State recording studio for us for the day! We headed over there and the place was pretty beat. You know it's a bit of an unused studio when there is a bike sitting in the recording booth. Started out using minimal of the gear. We used the house mic and were all sitting in the recording room. I poked around a bit and was able to figure out alot of the wiring. After some fooling around I was able to patch into the boards in the control room and use alot of the control room stuff. The big toy of the day was the talk back intercom between the two rooms. Today really felt like we were "recording" an album. Anyway, she did a real bang up job and added a nice touch of class to our otherwise retarded songs. We also got to take a whole pile of stuff from the discard room. My two favorite finds were a big tack board for the rehearsal space and a set of children songs on Lp. Later Joe Heston
