We had another band field trip the other day to the Woodstock fair. Weird AL was playing so we had to go check that out. The first show we were pretty far back but for the second show we ended up getting right up front. Weird AL was totally amazing. He did a wicked crazy show with costume changes and videos for most of the songs. We have all been big Weird Al fans since our youths so this was a real treat for us. Personally I think Weird Al is this brillant pop culture satirist who is greatly underrated. To pass his stuff off as a bunch of silly novelty songs is a great travisty.
With Wesley Willis sadly departed, I think our new band goal will have to be getting to play a show with Weird AL. A more hefty goal but one we will hope one day come true.
The car ride home took forever and we ended up eating over priced garbage food at the Casino at 1:30 in the morning. Fun Fun...
