Interesting times here at Heston labs. Here is an overview of last weekish:
-8/14 Band Field Trip
The Hestons took a drive up to Boston to check out Corn Mo and Polyphonic Spree. We had a really great time. Corn Mo was awesome as always and the Spree was amazing. Everyone should make a point to check them out. One of the most amazing live shows we have ever seen. On the way back we stopped at a rest stop. They had the tampons right next to the Combos. It was really odd. One is filled with fake cheese one isn't. Why would you put the two together?
-8/15 The Hestons help move Joe Heston out of Heston Labs. Heston labs is now cleaner.
-8/16 Getting into the Groove
The Hestons were part of this big multi band shindig in honor of Madonna's 45th birthday. We were a little worried and intrigued by this show all at the same time. The worry started to seap a little bit over the intrigue when at about 4 that afternoon we were requested to bring the "Heston Drumset of Love" for that night's event. When ever other band on the bill, refuses to bring thier drum set for a community kit and it gets to the point that the Heston's need to bring the 3/4th size kids drum set, there is sometimes a cause for alarm. IT all turned out ok though. We rocked out "Into the Groove" ending it with some wicked cool noise. Then we put the phone to good use for "Justify your Love". Overall it was a wicked fun night. Highlights of the night include: Fancy Trash being totally amazing, the Sparklies/Heston collaboration of a candy bar sculpture in the band room, and The Fucking Sparklies clearing the room out with an amazing version of "Papa don't preach" at the end of the night.
